New Delhi: Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Nitin Gadkari on Monday (October 26, 2020) launched the Khadi Fabric Footwear which has been designed by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC). The Minister expressed that individuals will like this Khadi Fabric footwear that has been designed for women and men. 

These have reportedly been launched in 15 designs for women and 10 designs for males and beautiful Khadi merchandise like Patola Silk of Gujarat, Banarasi Silk, Madhubani-printed Silk of Bihar, Khadi Denim, Tussar Silk, Matka – Katia Silk, quite a lot of Cotton material, Tweed Wool and Khadi Poly Vastra have been used to make this footwear distinctive and classy.

Available in a variety of designs, colours and prints, these footwear have been designed to go well with clothes for all functions – formal, informal and festive events. The Khadi footwear worth ranges from Rs 1100 to Rs 3300 per pair.

Gadkari had additionally launched the web sale of Khadi footwear by KVIC’s e-portal www.khadiindia.gov.in on October 21 and had praised Khadi material footwear saying such distinctive merchandise had excessive potential of capturing the worldwide market.
