Maharashtra takes this major decision for class 10, 12 board exams in 2021; check details
Amid the rising instances of coronavirus within the state, Maharashtra has taken a significant determination that can have an effect on the scholars showing for lessons 10 and 12 board exams in 2021.
Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad on Friday stated the examinations of Class X and XII performed by the state board will be unable to carry the exams on March as a result of prevailing coronavirus scenario.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, she stated that the state authorities will be unable to conduct the exams of Class X and XII earlier than May 2021.
“The current situation of coronavirus is likely to last for a longer period. We have discussed the issue of completion of syllabus and holding of exams,” she stated. “The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will not be able to conduct the exams of Class X and XII before May,” Gaikwad stated.
Speaking on chopping the curriculum by at the least 25 per cent, she stated, “I have also discussed the issue of how much curriculum can be omitted so that teachers can complete the remaining part.”
“We will have to cut at least 25 per cent of the curriculum,” she added.
After Diwali, preparations are being made to open colleges in whole Maharashtra together with Mumbai and session will resume will probably be began first for lessons 9-12. Gaikwad stated that after November 23, the scholars of lessons 9-10 will probably be requested to return to high school after approval from mother and father. Gaikwad stated, “You know that the school starts only after June 15. Earlier, at first, class 12 examinations took place in the first week of February and that of class 10 in March. However, due to COVID-19 this year the school didn’t start. We tried to teach students through online, television and other means because it takes a couple of months to prepare for board exams. So exams will be conducted in May.”
