Earlier on Wednesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh grieved the loss of life of the Army personnel asserting that the lack of troopers throughout a face-off within the Galwan Valley in Ladakh “is deeply disturbing and painful”.

Taking to micro-blogging website Twitter, Singh stated that the troopers displayed exemplary braveness and valour within the line of responsibility and sacrificed their lives within the highest traditions of the Indian Army. He added that the nation will always remember their bravery and sacrifice. 

Extending his sympathies to the households of the martyred troopers, Singh stated that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them on this troublesome hour. 

“The loss of soldiers in Galwan is deeply disturbing and painful. Our soldiers displayed exemplary courage and valour in the line of duty and sacrificed their lives in the highest traditions of the Indian Army,” Singh tweeted.

“The Nation will never forget their bravery and sacrifice. My heart goes out to the families of the fallen soldiers. The nation stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this difficult hour. We are proud of the bravery and courage of India’s breavehearts,” he additionally tweeted.
