New Delhi: Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar bats for menstrual hygiene and has been working in the direction of creating consciousness. Soon after profitable Miss World title in 2017, she conceived and spearheaded a non-profit group, Project Shakti, geared toward bettering the menstrual hygiene of girls in India.

“I’m already actively engaged on Project Shakti which I’m eager to broaden and attain out to extra ladies in newer cities of India. We had elaborate plans for 2020 however we needed to wait on these discussions due to the coronavirus pandemic. I’m desperate to roll out these plans and produce as a lot consciousness throughout India about menstrual hygiene. It’s a trigger that I really feel deeply linked to”, she mentioned.
Manushi quipped, “My Miss World tenure showed me that we as a society, as individuals have to constantly try to help others because there are so many people in need. I do feel that we have a collective responsibility towards our next generation and we are looking at a serious crisis hitting us if we don’t pay attention to them.”
