“Don’t waste our time, dismissed,” SC junks ‘unnecessary’ PIL for CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Friday dismissed a PIL in search of a CBI or NIA probe into the loss of life of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, saying “strangers” are “unnecessarily” coming when his father is already pursuing the case.

Rajput, 34, was discovered hanging from the ceiling of his residence in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on June 14. Mumbai police have been probing the case and recorded statements of 56 folks together with Bollywood administrators like Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

A bench comprising Chief Justice S A Bobde and Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian junked the PIL filed by Mumbai-based regulation pupil Dwivendra Devtadeen Dubey on the problem.

“Deceased’s father is pursuing the case. There is no reason that he will not pursue it properly. You are a stranger in this matter and you are unnecessarily coming in this. We will not permit this,” the bench mentioned.

“Don’t waste our time. Dismissed,” it mentioned.
