‘Don’t presume to know what Supreme Court will decide’: Omar Abdullah takes on Ravi Shankar Prasad

National Conference chief Omar Abdullah on Sunday took on Union regulation minister Ravi Shankar Prasad who on Saturday stated particular standing won’t be restored in Jammu and Kashmir. The regulation minister’s remark got here after PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti stated she would increase the nationwide flag solely as soon as the state flag in again, pushing for the restoration of Article 370.

The BJP condemned her “seditious comment” and demanded motion in opposition to the chief, who has been launched from detention early this month after 14 months.

 

The removing of statehood and the scrapping of Section 370 was carried out following a correct constitutional course of and each homes of Parliament authorised it with “overwhelming numbers”, the regulation minister stated.

Replying to the regulation minister, Omar Abdullah took to Twitter on Sunday morning and stated it’s not anticipated of him to revive the erstwhile state’s standing. “Dear Ravi Shankar Prasadji, we don’t expect you to restore anything but unless you are suggesting the Supreme Court has surrendered its independence and takes dictation from you please don’t presume to know what the honourable judges will decide,” Abdullah tweeted.
