‘Cheap stunts’: Shehla Rashid on estranged father’s allegations against her NGOs
The father of scholar activist and former scholar chief of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Shehla Rashid has alleged that his daughter is concerned in anti-national actions, in keeping with Hindustan Times’ sister publication Hindustan.
Hindustan reported that Abdul Rashid Shora has requested for safety cowl for himself. In a letter to Jammu and Kashmir Police chief, Rashid has claimed menace to life from Shehla, her sister Asma and his spouse Zubeda Shora, reported Hindustan.
Shehla has, nonetheless, rubbished these allegations and has as an alternative accused her father of home violence.
“Many of you must have come across a video of my biological father making wild allegations against me and my mum & sis. To keep it short and straight, he’s a wife-beater and an abusive, depraved man. We finally decided to act against him, and this stunt is a reaction to that,” Shehla mentioned on Twitter, posting a three-page letter alongside together with her tweet.
In a collection of 4 tweets, Shehla talked about her previous life and the affect of her father. “He had never, in his wildest dreams, imagined that his obedient wife and timid daughters would ever speak up against him. Since he was restrained from entering home by the Hon’ble Court, he’s trying to derail the judicial process by resorting to cheap stunts,” she mentioned in one of many tweets.
