The Centre on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying his message on the India Global Week 2020 was ‘robust and clear’.

Taking to micro-blogging website Twitter, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar mentioned that Atma Nirbhar Bharat merges home manufacturing and consumption with world provide chains. He added that it is not about being self-contained or being closed to the world slightly being self-sustaining and self-generating.

“Strong & clear message to the world today by PM Narendra Modi at IGW 2020. Atma Nirbhar Bharat merges domestic production & consumption with global supply chains. It is not about being self-contained or being closed to the world. It is about being self-sustaining & self-generating,” tweeted Jaishankar.

PM Modi mentioned that India will play a number one function within the world revival. PM Modi mentioned that the federal government is dedicated in its resolve to carry the financial progress again to trace. “On the one hand, India is fighting a strong battle against the global pandemic. With an increased focus on people’s health, we are equally focussed on the health of the economy,” PM Modi mentioned. He added, “When India talks of revival it is:  Revival with care, Revival with compassion, Revival which is sustainable- both for the environment and the economy.”

He mentioned that within the final six years, India has made nice features in areas equivalent to: complete monetary inclusion, document housing and infra building, Ease of Doing Business, daring tax reforms together with the GST. “Indians have the spirit to achieve what is believed to be impossible. No wonder that in India, we are already seeing green-shoots when it comes to economic recovery,” he mentioned.

The PM additional mentioned that India stays one of the vital open economies on the planet. “We are laying a red carpet for all global companies to come and establish their presence in India.  Very few countries will offer the kind of opportunities India does today,” he added.

PM Modi praised India’s Pharma business for the function it has performed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. “The pandemic has once again shown that India’s Pharma industry is an asset not just for India but for the entire world.  It has played a leading role in reducing the cost of medicines especially for developing countries,” PM Modi mentioned.
