Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to lay foundation stones of 9 NH projects worth over Rs 2752 cr in Tripura on October 27
New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSMEs Nitin Gadkari will lay the muse stones of 9 National Highway initiatives with a complete size of practically 262 kms price over Rs 2752 crore in Tripura on Tuesday (October 27, 2020).
“The Projects, on completion, will provide faster and hassle-free inter-state and international connectivity to Bangladesh and will be a major stride towards strengthening the tourism sector of the State. The new projects will provide better connectivity, fast and safe movement of traffic to various tourist places, historical places and religious places in the entire State,” mentioned the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
“They are likely to generate a large number of employment and self-employment opportunities to the unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled manpower of the region. The projects will reduce travel time and maintenance cost of the vehicles and saving of fuel. Implementation of the project would result in enhanced socio-economic conditions of the locality,” they added.
According to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, these National Highway initiatives will enhance the transport of agricultural items and entry to higher markets and can cut back the price of items and providers.
These may also create simple and speedy entry to well being care and emergency providers.
“In a nutshell, after completion of the above projects, there will be a quantum jump in the development of tourism, economic and international connectivity of this region. Finally, it will give impetus to the GDP of the state of Tripura,” mentioned the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
The occasion shall be presided-over by Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb, within the presence of Union MoSs Jitendra Singh and Gen (Retd) VK Singh, Ministers from the State, Members of Parliaments, MLAs and senior officers from the Centre and the State.
