Sonam Kapoor to trolls: Yes, I’m privileged, that’s not an insult
Mumbai: In a response to social media abuse amid the ‘outsider versus insider’ debate within the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput’s dying, Sonam Kapoor on Sunday mentioned although she acknowledges her privilege as a star youngster, her identification is a matter of delight for her.
Sonam, who comes from a household of Bollywood producers and actors, shared screenshots of the expletives-laden messages, directed in the direction of her, veteran actor father Anil Kapoor, producer sister Rhea, amongst others within the subsequent of her kin.

Sonam mentioned the remarks she made public aren’t even the “worst of it”.
The actor and her crew are reporting these feedback to the authorities, she added.
Rajput, 34, was discovered useless at his Mumbai residence on June 14. His dying has reignited discussions across the battle of survival in Bollywood, navigating cliques, significantly for outsiders.
The “Neerja” actor mentioned she is proud to be the daughter of a film star who has labored arduous to maintain within the business.

Sonam mentioned she has disabled the feedback part from her and her father’s Instagram pages to keep away from the barrage of hate.
“I don’t want my 64-year-old parents to go through this. They did nothing to deserve this. And I’m not doing it out of fear you morons, I’m doing it out of common sense to preserve my mental health and my parents,” she mentioned.
