No deal without a deal for Congress leaders: Ravi Shankar Prasad on AgustaWestland chopper case
New Delhi: Senior BJP chief and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday (November 17) alleged that throughout the Congress-led UPA regime there was no deal with no deal and no contract with no lower whereas addressing a press convention.
Ravi Shankar Prasad mentioned, “Whenever you think of a kickback in a military deal of defence, you think of some Congress leaders. There is no work without kickback. ‘No deal without a deal, no contract without a cut’ for Congress leaders,” attacking the opposition social gathering over stories of kickbacks allegedly acquired by its members within the AgustaWestland chopper deal.

In 2010, he mentioned, there have been talks of shopping for AgustaWestland helicopters for VVIPs just like the president and the prime minister at a value of Rs 3,600 crore, including that two years later, media stories revealed that kickbacks had been given within the deal.

The Union Minister additional mentioned that although the Manmohan Singh-led UPA-2 authorities had ordered a CBI inquiry no progress was made till the BJP-led NDA authorities was fashioned in May 2014, after which arrests had been made within the case.
