National cycling camp to begin from August 14 in New Delhi
The nationwide camp for biking will begin from August 14 on the Indira Gandhi National Stadium within the nationwide capital, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) mentioned on Saturday. This comes after bulletins of resumption of nationwide camps for hockey and badminton this month.
A staff of 11 athletes, 4 coaches and 16 help workers have already reported to the camp and are present process obligatory quarantine, mentioned SAI.
“As a proactive, mandatory step SAI has administered the COVID-19 test to all participants, including athletes, coaches, support staff (sporting and non-sporting such as housekeeping, cooks etc) on arrival. The test reports confirm that all of them are COVID-19 negative,” it mentioned.
“As an additional precautionary measure all athletes, coaches and help workers will likely be given the test earlier than the beginning of the camp to make sure that everybody attending the on-field coaching from August 14 and interacting with athletes, together with the athletes themselves, are COVID-19 free.
