Indian Navy to host Singapore Bilateral Maritime Exercise in Andaman Sea from November 23
New Delhi: The Indian Navy (IN) is scheduled to host the 27th version of India – Singapore Bilateral Maritime Exercise (SIMBEX-20) from November 23 to November 25, 2020, within the Andaman Sea.
The SIMBEX sequence of workout routines between IN and Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), being carried out yearly since 1994, are geared toward enhancing mutual inter-operability and imbibing greatest practices from one another. The scope and complexity of those workout routines have elevated steadily over the previous twenty years to incorporate superior naval drills protecting a large spectrum of maritime operations.
The 2020 version of SIMBEX will witness participation by Indian Navy ships together with destroyer Rana with integral Chetak helicopter and indigenously constructed corvettes Kamorta and Karmuk.
