DDLJ turns 25: Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol’s statue to be unveiled in London’s Leicester Square
Mumbai: The blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) can be 25 years outdated on Tuesday, and a statute of its lead pair, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, can be erected at Leicester Square in London.

“This statue is a fitting tribute to the global popularity of Bollywood and the cultural bridges that cinema can help build, and we’re in no doubt it will attract fans from all around the world,” he added.
The statue will be a part of these of 9 different movie icons from the previous 100 years, eight of which had been unveiled in late February and lately granted longer-term residency by Westminster Council to stay at Leicester Square till at the least July 2023.
In September a statue of Harry Potter joined the unique line up that features Laurel and Hardy, Bugs Bunny, Gene Kelly, Mr. Bean, Paddington and the superheroes Batman and Wonder Woman.
