Daniel Ricciardo moves from Renault to McLaren for 2021
Australian Daniel Ricciardo will depart Renault and race for McLaren in 2021, the British Formula One staff stated in a press release on Thursday.
The 30-year-old, winner of seven races for Red Bull, will companion British driver Lando Norris and replaces Spaniard Carlos Sainz who is ready to hitch Ferrari as Sebastian Vettel’s alternative.
Ferrari have but to verify Sainz’s arrival after saying on Tuesday that Vettel can be leaving after six years at Maranello.
McLaren stated Ricciardo had signed a multi-year take care of the previous champions, who completed fourth general final 12 months however haven’t received a race since 2012.

Renault issued a brief assertion saying discussions with Ricciardo over a renewal of his contract had not been profitable.
They gave no indication of who may change the favored Australian, though media hypothesis has recommended double world champion Fernando Alonso may make a comeback with the staff that took him to his titles in 2005 and 2006.
The 38-year-old Spaniard final drove for McLaren in Formula One in 2018.
