CBI registers three cases for alleged land encroachment in Jammu and Kashmir
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered three separate instances and brought over the investigation of those instances that have been associated to the alleged land encroachment in Jammu and Kashmir. The three instances have been earlier registered by the Vigilance Organization in Jammu (now Anti-Corruption Bureau, UT of J&Ok).
The first case has been registered in opposition to unknown officers of Revenue Department, Jammu in reference to an FIR of Vigilance Organization, Jammu earlier registered on the allegations that the officers/officers of Revenue Department of District Jammu had conferred undue advantages upon the unlawful occupants of the state land by deliberately ignoring the laid down provisions of Roshni Act & guidelines, thereby conferring possession rights of the state land wrongfully to selective undeserving individuals and therefore inflicted large financial loss to the State exchequer.
